My sister told me she is having another baby earlier tonight.

It was like my world just paused for a moment. My axis tilted. It was like a pendulous weight that heaved up out of it's cradle, for just a split second and then settled back into place.

It isn't for me. I chose my course. There is this burning frustration. To DO something. To accomplish something. I have to stop wishing for somone to set me on my path. I have to find it for myself.

Thunk

The sound of me falling off the wagon. At 3 am, Karl's Jr. drive up window, chix strips and crisscut fries. AND no workout. Minor setback. Just going to get back on the horse, or rather off the feed.
On a side note, they turned off the water in my building again today, again without warning, so no shower before work for me!

Fanfrackingtastic!

p.s. that was a little Battlestar Galactica reference. I love you if you got it!

Sigh...

This morning..

4.32 miles in 51.39 minutes. If you allow 4 minutes for stoplights, I am doing approx an 11 minute mile.

It's ok. I can be ok with that.

I am setting a goal for myself.

130 Lbs and 2 inches off of each thigh

It is realistic, it will make me a solid size 4 and the loss of 10 pounds will make my marathon training a little easier.

the reel

Running Journal...

It is tragic. How far the mighty have fallen? Pathetic really.

Ok. So, I've never actually been a fast runner. But I used to do a decent (ie:comfortable, no gasping) 10 minute mile. I ran a marathon last year, a feat I never even imagined I would contemplate, much less finish sucessfully.

I went for a run this morning. A painful, gasping, exhausting 3 mile run. It took me 38 minutes. If you consider that I can probably subtract 3-4 minutes for stoplights, that still means I have slowed down to an 11:30 mile. AAARGH!

Ok. Getting over it.

Day One...

140 lbs

38 minute run
42 minutes Elliptical

Note to self - kick my own ass!

I will exercise at least 2 more times this week
