12 of 12 June

It' s 12 of 12 and I still haven't got the knack of focusing the new digital camera, but please enjoy my slightly out of focus day! It heavily features Will, because I think he's super cute.

Here is Will, feeling a little cranky because I am about to force him(his words) to go grocery shopping with me. The new Anita Blake Novel! I was so excited when it came in the mail yesterday. I've been waiting forever for this to come out...
Apparently, I was a little too excited, I finished it around 3 o'clock this afternoon.
Now I have to wait for her to write another one. Will pointed and laughed and said, "I told you not to read it so fast."

And here is Will looking pissy because I left the car in a red zone while I unloaded the groceries.

And then I forced him to go running with me. Here is me laughing at him when he said he was going to kick my butt up the big hill.
And here he is eating humble pie after I kicked his butt up the hill

Kitty dinner time!
Washing the dishes before making dinner

I got a little carried away cooking dinner. I should have had a snack after the extra long workout. Instead I made a ridiculous amount of food.

Apple stuffing pork chops, spinach salad, green beans, and ghnocchi. It was really pretty, if I had managed to get the camera to focus, you could see it better, but no.

And then I stuck my thumb on the fresh out of the oven pan, burned myself and dropped everything on the floor! Will bought the "Planet Earth" dvd and put on the one about glow worms that trap their prey in long streamers of snot while we were eating dinner
After the glow worms they had a segment about bat guano and the cockroaches that eat it.

He thinks he's funny.

My manicure...again. It happens alot when I have a night off.

Dessert!

Bonus pic

I didn't really have a secret, but I hid ice cream under the strawberries as a suprise for Will.

Thanks Chad!

My sister told me she is having another baby earlier tonight.

It was like my world just paused for a moment. My axis tilted. It was like a pendulous weight that heaved up out of it's cradle, for just a split second and then settled back into place.

It isn't for me. I chose my course. There is this burning frustration. To DO something. To accomplish something. I have to stop wishing for somone to set me on my path. I have to find it for myself.

Thunk

The sound of me falling off the wagon. At 3 am, Karl's Jr. drive up window, chix strips and crisscut fries. AND no workout. Minor setback. Just going to get back on the horse, or rather off the feed.
On a side note, they turned off the water in my building again today, again without warning, so no shower before work for me!

Fanfrackingtastic!

p.s. that was a little Battlestar Galactica reference. I love you if you got it!

Sigh...

This morning..

4.32 miles in 51.39 minutes. If you allow 4 minutes for stoplights, I am doing approx an 11 minute mile.

It's ok. I can be ok with that.

I am setting a goal for myself.

130 Lbs and 2 inches off of each thigh

It is realistic, it will make me a solid size 4 and the loss of 10 pounds will make my marathon training a little easier.

the reel

Running Journal...

It is tragic. How far the mighty have fallen? Pathetic really.

Ok. So, I've never actually been a fast runner. But I used to do a decent (ie:comfortable, no gasping) 10 minute mile. I ran a marathon last year, a feat I never even imagined I would contemplate, much less finish sucessfully.

I went for a run this morning. A painful, gasping, exhausting 3 mile run. It took me 38 minutes. If you consider that I can probably subtract 3-4 minutes for stoplights, that still means I have slowed down to an 11:30 mile. AAARGH!

Ok. Getting over it.

Day One...

140 lbs

38 minute run
42 minutes Elliptical

Note to self - kick my own ass!

I will exercise at least 2 more times this week
